Research, development and implementation of all necessary application architecture for the project, from the development of the necessary computer tools for the collection and processing of data to the construction of the prototype for validation of the results.
Victor Carvalho
Victor is a Business Manager at Optimizer. He is responsible for the I&DT area which as two major projects running: QoLiS (Quality of Life Information System) and Health Metrology. He also supports the international development and growth of the company. He also accumulates the management of the co-financed projects. Before Optimizer, Victor was the IT Director in Amorim Group and Group SL, where we developed and implemented an ERP (SAP) in several enterprises. Also work with OLAP tools where we created a Executive Information System for the financial and sales areas. He has international experience in several different countries, including Portugal, Spain, UK, USA, Brazil, and Mozambique. Victor is Systems Engineer from University of Minho in Portugal. During his professional career, he made continuous training in areas like general management, leadership and M&A in different schools.
Rose Silva
Rose Silva works at Optimizer as a Business Intelligence consultant. Before that, she worked at an International IT, health Sector Company as a Software Tester. She has mainly worked in the telecommunication industry and has been responsible for systems and functional tests. Her main tasks included design, write and execute test cases with the help of Quality Center and based on the assimilated concepts on the ISTQB Certification (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). Currently, she's working on the study of information structuring and data mining related to the Portuguese Health Sector.
Maribel Ferreira Oliveira
Maribel Ferreira Oliveira is an analyst/consultant of Oracle technology at Optimizer, in Portugal. She has participated in various projects in the health care, telecommunications, retail and administration sectors. She has worked with Oracle technology for over 20 years, particularly in Oracle Forms , Reports, APEX and PLSQL . She has participated in over 12 projects related to health at the Shared Services of the Portuguese Ministry of Health (SPMS). These projects highlight the creation of an IT solution to centralize national Healthcare Centers: connection of the support system to the doctor with the Information System for Oral Health, Integration with Electronic Prescription of Medications (PEM) and Implementation of a module to support administrative health centers, allowing the registration and the payments made by patients related to ancillary acts.
Pedro Miguel Madureira
Pedro was graduated in Information Systems at the University at Portucalense Infante D. Henrique. He has 6 years on engineering research institute. Actually he is Business Unit Manager at Optimizer, responsible for the SOA/ BPM and Busines Intelligence areas. During his career he was involved in several projects in different areas like Transports, Retail, Health Sector. In this last one he was involved in several projects like Central Patient Information, Medicinal Prescriptions, primary health care and others, supervised by Health Portuguese Ministry.
Rui Lopes
Rui is a Optimizer Business Unit Manager. The main goal of his activity is the development of applications with a great orientation to the health sector, in which he operate projects of Health Metrology and QoLis (Quality of Life Information System). He has an experience of 15 years in requirements analysis, functional specification and development of solutions through the use of Oracle database and development tools. Rui is Systems Engineer from University of Minho in Portugal. He participated in ERP software development teams, he has specific developments experience for certain market sectors (environment, retail, beverage industry, laboratories) and he is currently involved in developing solutions for the area of Health guiding the internal development Optimizer team and supporting the Commercial area in the marketing process of the developed products.
Alexandre Pereira
Alexandre Pereira is a experienced Systems Architect, Database and Application Server Administrator and Database centric developer with over 10 years of experience in Systems, Database and application Architecture, design, implementation and maintenance. Throughout his career he's been working in the most diverse sectors of activity ranging from
Health Care, Telecommunications to Insurances and Retail. Since 2012 has been involved in the implementation of the new
Public Healthcare core system that has a national reach and is replacing legacy systems with over 20 years of activity, bringing
the healthcare systems to the 21 first century.
Joaquim Gonçalves
Graduated in Applied Mathematics - scientific branch, Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering by FEUP and PhD in Information Sciences from Universidade Fernando Pessoa. He is currently Adjunct Professor at EST - Escola Superior de Tecnologia at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, where he was chairman of the pedagogical council (2 years), director of the Computing course (4 years), Erasmus coordinator Member of the CPAD (Center for Processing and Data Analysis) where he developed work in the field of biostatistics. He carries out research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Health Informatics, Quality of Life, Quality Assessment Systems, Biostatistics, Information Systems and Databases. He developed the QoLiP project at the Porto IPO. He has authored several publications in journals and international conferences with ISI indexation and / or SCOPUS. She has been directing final year projects since 1992 and has guided two completed Master's theses and is guiding four Master's theses 3 of which in the area of clinical decision support systems. Organized 3 national conferences and is an integrated member of LIACC - Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science of the University of Porto and associate member of CEISUC - Center for studies and research in Health of the University of Coimbra.

Degree in Informatics - Management Branch from the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA). He distinguished himself in his academic career, having been recognized with a Merit Scholarship awarded to the best students of each Institution of Higher Education. He collaborated as a researcher / programmer in a project at the University of Minho, where he investigated and developed an innovative system for the management and control of production in environments with great diversity of articles. Recently he has developed research work in his own entrepreneurship project, "IUseIt" project, which aims to create an innovative application that allows better access to mobile devices by people with motor disabilities. He has worked in this "IUseIt" project together with other researchers and in collaboration with two higher education institutions and an international company, having obtained in the past funding of the Passport for Entrepreneurship program.
Teresa Castanho - Research Fellow
postdoctoral research fellow with a Master's Degree in Health Psychology from the School of Psychology of the University of Minho. She received her PhD in Health Sciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), School of Medicine of the University of Minho, focusing on the area of cognitive aging and telemedicine, through the application of extensive neuropsychological batteries and validation of instruments. Prior to her doctorate, she joined the Medical Education Unit of the School of Medicine as a research fellow, where she did a longitudinal follow-up of the student population and participated in the design and application of qualitative research methodologies for the clarification of issues related to students' difficulties. She collaborated in several research projects carried out at the same institute, one of them at European level (Switchbox: Maintaining health in old age through homeostasis). She is currently an author and co-author of nine peer-reviewed research articles and collaborator as "Rater" in four ongoing clinical trials at the Hospital de Braga.
